Backlog as Kanban
In Prepare you get Stories ready so the team can build them. The Kanban view shows the whole Backlog by state: on the left an idea matures into a Story that is ready to build, on the right it gets built. You drag cards between columns, order them by priority and, if you like, group them in Buckets. Which states exist and what they mean is covered in States and Discovery and Delivery. This page shows the work in the Kanban itself.

Estimating
A Story is only plannable once you know roughly how big it is. Betterplan estimates in Story Points, right on the card, without you having to copy numbers into another tool. From the points, your team's velocity and the cost per Iteration, the Estimation Widget continuously works out when you will be done and what that costs. The basics, that is why we estimate relatively and what velocity means, are covered in Estimating: the basics. This page shows how to do it in Betterplan.
Automatic estimates
In Betterplan you don't have to estimate every Story. Every User Story without an estimate of its own automatically gets a provisional value, which scope, forecast, Timeline and cost use right away. Your Backlog is "estimated" from day one, without anyone spending time on discussions that carry little information.
Rapid Estimation
This feature is being rolled out gradually. If you don't see it yet, it hasn't been enabled for your workspace. It also requires the Estimation Widget to be visible to you.
